Location: On Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore, running from West Lawrencetown Road in Lawrencetown to Causeway Road in Seaforth.

Trail Description: A 10-kilometre coastal greenway that includes salt marshes, headland bluffs, beaches and woodland, Atlantic View Trail is a crusher dust linear trail on a former rail bed. It passes through Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park halfway along the trail.

Adjacent Trails: At the west end, Atlantic View Trail connects to the Salt Marsh Trail, and to Blueberry Run Trail at the east end.

Partnerships and Connections: Our trail is part of the Trans Canada Trail and the Halifax Active Transportation Network. It passes through the Cole Harbour-Lawrencetown Coastal Heritage Park System. Please be aware that provincial regulations prohibit horses and motorized vehicles within the park system.

Trail Management                                        

The trail is overseen and maintained by the Atlantic View Trail Association (AVTA), with funding primarily provided on a project-by-project basis by the Halifax Regional Municipality, the Province of Nova Scotia and the Trans Canada Trail.
